About

Kay Brown

None of this would have been possible without the ever present awareness of God’s Holy Spirit prompting and encouraging me every step of the way.

I am an Ordained Local Minister in the Church of Scotland. I am also a town centre Work Place Chaplain which is part of my remit as OLM.

Before I was married, I was a nurse and after our boys were at secondary school, I trained as a Primary School teacher. I found great satisfaction in both spheres of work, but God’s call was always there, firstly into children’s ministry, then some 23 years ago, into the preaching and pastoral ministry of Lay Readership.

Several years ago, as part of an evening service during Holy Week I was invited to give a short address, based on Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. This was the beginning of an adventure with God, an adventure which resulted in the publication of, ‘Come See This Man’ and ‘Born For You’.

I never imagined when I began to write the first meditations that they would grow into the contents for the first two books. I have been humbled and thrilled at the response of readers who have been asking when book number three was going to be published! ‘Now I See’ will be published and launched on Saturday 24th October.
